The Sterling Shave Club was born out of the pure frustration that comes from buying extortionately overpriced razors advertised by the big name celebrities..
Too long have the good people of Great Britain and Northern Ireland had to make the choice between overpriced and over complicated razors, or the kinda deal where you get twenty-five razors and a penny back for your pound at the discount store. Only to find the razor blades wouldn't even tame a 12-year old called Harrys bum fluff.
Well, from this moment on, all that changes. We're here to offer you discerning gentlemen a simple, convenient and cost effective UK razor blade subscription service.
We're a British based, online razor blade subscription company. We don't have enormous marketing budgets or overheads; we've grown on mates referring their mates. This improved efficiency means we can shave a huge chunk off the price of conventional razors and pass this saving onto you, without sacrificing quality.
So, more about these razors I hear you ask. Well, we've scoured the far corners of the Empire in order to bring you a truly sterling shavekit. Finding quality shaving products and razor blades shouldn’t be hard work and it certainly shouldn’t require you to re-mortgage your home. So, why is it that whenever you go to the supermarket to pick up a set of blades you feel like screaming day light robbery? We were fed up of working out which caused more pain – buying cheap razors that massacre your face or expensive razors that left nothing in your wallet. There had to be a better way and we were going to find it. That’s why we launched Sterling Shave Club in 2014, we knew we could sell razor blades online at a fraction of the cost of the big-name brands but we knew we could reduce the cost without taking the hit on quality. For our members, the benefit to buy razor blades online is clear – they can buy the top shaving razors and associated men’s grooming products at fair prices, get them delivered to their door and set up a super convenient subscription that means they don’t ever have to worry about forgetting to buy their shaving products ever again.
We searched long and hard to find the perfect products, because we know the quality of the product is more important than the cost. We trialled and tested countless models, suppliers and blades until we eventually found the perfect 3 blade and 5 blade razor. We were incredibly happy with the product but when we started getting feedback from new members who had been shaving with a Mach 3 for the past twenty years saying they couldn’t believe how good our blades were that really put a smile on our face. Then we needed to find the perfect products to complement our top shaving razors, we started scouring for pre-shave scrubs, shaving creams and post-shave balms. We found a manufacturer in the UK who makes the very best products and started to work with them to supply the ultimate shaving products to our members. This partnership went so well that they eventually decided to buy a stake in our company and have been working with and helping us achieve our dreams ever since.
We’ve since been working really hard to try and make the experience to buy razor blades online as simple, easy and convenient as possible. We simplified our website and continue to work on tailoring our grooming products and services to our members. We added more subscription options from the monthly option. You can now buy many of our products one two monthly and three-monthly subscriptions. We had feedback that not everyone wanted to buy on subscriptions, occasionally people may want to buy a product as a one off or just try it before setting up a subscription. When we got this feedback, we implemented the option to buy many of our products as one off purchases with no need for a subscription. We’ve also made managing any subscriptions you may have super easy. You can pause, cancel, upgrade or downgrade any of your subscriptions with the touch of a button from your member area on the website. Put simply buying you razor and razor blades has never been simpler, fairer or at such a competitive price.
